 I returned to Adrian this summer for the third bike fit, as I'd bought a TT bike and was struggling to get myself in the right place from a comfort and power output point of view. As with my other two fits, Adrian put me in exactly the right spot for my event requirements. He's an absolute master - I'd 100% recommend him if you're in need of a fit.


Along side the bike fit expertise, Adrian always shares from his cast knowledge of training and competing. I always walk away with something to think about or act on.

Adrian has 45 years of cycling experience and knowledge. Olympian at the 1984 Los Angles Olympic Games.  Tour de France finisher 1987. Competing across multiple disciplines, competing at level Elite for Great Britain in World Championships and World Cups on the track, MTB, cyclocross and road racing, winning National Championship medals in all those same disciplines.  Bike fitter with almost 20 years experience, fitting novice to para cyclists to World Tour riders, fitting tandem’s, gravel, MTB, road, tri/time trial, cyclocross and track bikes. Great Britain team manager at the 1996 and 1997 World MTB Championships and the 1998 Tour de l’Avenir France and England team manager at the Tour of Britain.  Great Britain MTB Team masseur/carer 2001-2002 at World Championships and World Cup. TRAINING - FTP TEST, STANDING OR SEATED OR BOTH? I’ve just watched someone do an indoor FTP test on YouTube, as he tired and the power dropped he’d get out of the saddle for a while using body weight to lift the power back up, then he’d sit down again the power would drop as he’d then have to just use leg and glutes to produce power, then he’d back up again etc etc to me this over inflates the FTP result, which may not be a problem if you plan on doing specific workouts in an d out of the saddle, but if you are going to do specific workouts for let’s say TT’s you will need to stay seated for the test because that is the position you will race and train in. I think it is also important if you plan on retesting you’re FTP over the next few months, to keep things the same for each test stay seated and use a gear that allows you to do that. In theory you could do the whole FTP test out of the saddle, this will over inflate your actual seated FTP as you use body weight to go through the
